Kim, Practice Manager

Kim has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for many years; she began her work as a veterinary technician in 1998.  She has extensive experience in general practice, but also in specialty and emergency medicine.  The bulk of her career was spent working as a Level 3 Emergency and Critical Care Nurse at a local 24 hour facility.  After several years in the Emergency department, Kim chose to try her hand at additional types of specialized medicine, Internal Medicine and Oncology.  Three years later Kim left the clinic atmosphere for 2 years; during this time she worked with a veterinary pharmaceutical company to monitor the safety of many commonly used veterinary drugs.  Although she found her work in regulatory affairs rewarding, she missed the clinic atmosphere.  Kim became a Practice Manager in 2016.

Kim's greatest enjoyment is spending time with her husband and their 2 daughters. The family shares their home with a pit bull named Gwendalyn, 2 mixed breed dogs named Holly and Nicholas, and a very sassy cat named Mathilda.

Rex Hanlin

After Rex retired from teaching in 2012, they purchased North East Animal Hospital in June 2012. Rex was a technology/vocational education teacher in Pennsylvania and Virginia for many years. He has been busy doing extensive renovations to the building since the purchase. Rex is married to Kerrianne Hanlin, and his hobbies and interests include spending time with his grandkids, woodworking, gardening, driving his convertible and listening to Jazz.
